If you've spent any time at Gluten Glory, you've probably seen GiGi without quite knowing it.
GiGi is the creature behind the name — a small, doughy shape with a big personality and absolutely no fixed form. Sometimes round, sometimes stretched, sometimes wearing a hat, sometimes not. GiGi shows up on the wall, on the cup, on a sticker, on a sign, in a hundred small variations across the space — never quite the same twice.
GiGi started as a piece of dough — and dough, if you've ever worked with it, never sits still. It stretches, folds, rises, collapses, gets shaped again. That restlessness became the character.
GiGi doesn't have one official look. Depending on where you spot it — and what mood it's in — GiGi might be calm, mischievous, half-asleep, or mid-stretch. The only constant is the spirit: warm, a little chaotic, never too serious. Much like a bakery on a Saturday morning.
You'll find GiGi in different forms and colours throughout the space — on the walls, in the branding, on packaging, occasionally somewhere you didn't expect. Part of the fun is noticing a new one.
GiGi was developed as part of the wider Gluten Glory brand identity, built together with CAP and Vul.ne.ra.bil, with the character itself illustrated by the artist Covrigue — GiGi's creator.
The brief was simple: a mascot that felt hand-drawn, a little imperfect, and distinctly not corporate. No mascot manual, no strict proportions, no "approved" pose. Just a creature loose enough to be redrawn, reinterpreted, and scattered across the space in whatever form felt right at the time.
GiGi is scattered across the space — sometimes next to the real artwork on the walls, sometimes on its own. Look closely on your way in, on your way to the first floor, and around the counter. New variants appear from time to time, so even regulars keep finding ones they hadn't noticed before.
If you've taken a photo of a GiGi we haven't mentioned here, tag us — we're always curious which ones people spot first.
GiGi changes with the calendar too — winter coats, holiday hats, whatever the season calls for. A few of the seasonal versions that have appeared around the space:
For GG Flambée, GiGi gets a little show: ready, blink, raise, fire grows, throw — and the flame becomes a Tarte Flambée. Then GiGi takes a bow, and does it all again.
